I did a 4 mile run today in Salem, MA. It was a great way to start the new year however, I was a bit hungover from last night that it was not my best. I did run all 4 miles and clocked in at around 10:20 min/mile. Really, that’s pretty good, even for being hungover.

I have good news related to running/weight loss as well as not.
First: I’m a music therapist!! I have been dreaming of this day since I was a sophomore in high school. I went to college to become a music therapist, I completed a 7 month music therapy internship and finally passed the board certification test! I’m so beyond thrilled!

Personal Best!!
I completed my road race for November today. It was a 5 mile turkey trot, and it was awesome. I ran my personal best! Clocking in at around 11:11 min/mile, I was so thrilled as I never ever ran below a 12min/mile.
I feel so good, and it’s just motivating to know that I can do something with just a little practice.
My december race is scheduled for December 18th, a nice 5k. Wee!

Pretty awesome week
I did pretty well this week. I ran a total of 15 miles, 2.5 or so a day. I also did an additional 20-30 mins of cardio at the gym and then did weights. I think finally I figured out what weights I need to use and how to use the machines or free weights because man am I sore. Half Marathons in July or August?

I have a women’s 10k on Monday and I do it every year, but of course I’m now in bed with a super sore throat. It’s been getting better but let’s hope I feel well enough for the race! Don’t want to miss out, it’s gonna be beautiful!

long time, no update
Where have I been?
Well everywhere kind of. After the half marathon we went to London and explored there for a week until we came back to the States. We got back September 10th and then on 9/11 I donated blood at fenway park. I had crazy high iron levels which I attribute to the amount of red meat I ate in England. Anyway, then Berklee was hosting a 9/11 concert which was pretty good.
